DSSSB Gives Fresh Chance to 2009 DASS Grade-II Applicants, Online Registration Starts from July 17
In a major relief for candidates who applied for the DASS Grade-II recruitment back in 2009, the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has announced a fresh opportunity to participate in the selection process.
This decision comes after the Hon'ble Supreme Court's order dated 27 February 2026, allowing eligible candidates from the old Post Code 90/09 recruitment to apply again. They will now be considered for the ongoing recruitment of 606 Grade-II (GNCTDSS)/Assistant Section Officer (ASO) posts under the new Post Code 804/26.
The official notice regarding this special recruitment was released on 8 July 2026.
Application Dates
The online application process will begin on 17 July 2026 at 12:00 PM and continue until 17 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Eligible candidates must submit a fresh online application, as the old application will not be carried forward automatically.
DSSSB has clearly stated that no additional time will be provided after the last date. Therefore, candidates should complete the application process well before the deadline.

Who Can Apply?
This special recruitment is not open to new applicants. It is only meant for candidates who had submitted an application for Post Code 90/09 in 2009.
While filling out the online form, applicants must upload at least one document proving that they were part of the 2009 recruitment process. Any one of the following documents will be accepted:
- Copy of the original application form
- Original acknowledgement postcard
- Tier-I admit card
- Tier-II admit card
Age Requirement
Candidates should remember that they must not reach the age of 60 years, which is the retirement age in Delhi Government service, before the recruitment process is completed and appointment is made. If a candidate crosses this age limit during the process, their candidature will become invalid.
Selection Procedure
The recruitment will follow the rules and conditions mentioned in Advertisement No. 01/2026. DSSSB has also warned candidates against submitting false information or fake documents. If any discrepancy is found, the application may be cancelled and the candidate can also be barred from future DSSSB examinations.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply by following these simple steps:
1. Visit the DSSSB online application portal.
2. Register through the OARS system if you are a new user.
3. Open the special application link for Post Code 804/26.
4. Fill in all the required details carefully.
5. Upload any one valid proof of your 2009 application.
6. Review the form before final submission.
7. Submit the application on or before 17 August 2026 (5:00 PM).
8. Download and save the confirmation page for future use.
Offline Application Facility
Candidates who are unable to complete the online application due to genuine reasons can also submit their application offline. They need to fill out the prescribed Annexure-I form and submit it along with the required documents at the DSSSB Helpdesk during office hours between 17 July and 17 August 2026.
Eligible applicants are advised not to wait until the last moment. Completing the application early will help avoid technical issues and ensure that all required documents are uploaded correctly.
